人身难得，佛法难闻

It’s difficult to have a human incarnation as well as encounter Buddha’s teachings

祖师大德们常讲“人身难得，佛法难闻”，得到人身不容易的。

Great masters and virtuous people always say, “It’s difficult to have a human incarnation as well as encounter Buddha’s teachings”, implying the rarity of getting human incarnation.

佛经上有这样一段记载，释迦牟尼佛对弟子阿难说，在娑婆世界中“得人身者如爪上尘，失人身者如大地土”，可见人身的难得。

It is said in the Buddhist scriptures that Shakyamuni Buddha told his disciple Ananda, 'In this world, obtaining a human incarnation is as rare as a speck of dust on one's fingernail, while losing it is as vast as the earth, which explicitly shows the rarity of obtaining human incarnation.

如果得了人身而不受三皈五戒，不好好修行，一失人身，万劫不复啊。现在大家闻到佛法了，应该皈依佛门，好好修行。

If you obtain human incarnation but do not practice Buddhism earnestly or receive three refugees and five precepts, losing this human incarnation would mean an incalculable amount of time before regaining it. Now that you encounter Buddhist teachings, you should take refuge in Buddhism and diligently engage in spiritual practice.
