妙法蓮華經 信解品第四（49）

The Lotus Sutra Chapter IV Willing Acceptance

Yet he did tell us that we had attained

The stage of noncorruption,

That we had achieved the inferior vehicle,

And that we were the disciples of the ?rāvaka vehicle.

而說我等，得諸無漏，成就小乘，聲聞弟子。

而隻是說我們可以斷盡煩惱，獲得清淨自在，從而成爲小乘聲聞弟子。

The Buddha told us to teach that

Those who practiced the highest path

Would be able to become buddhas.

佛勅我等，說最上道，修習此者，當得成佛。

佛曾令我們爲衆生宣講至高無上的佛道之法，并說凡修習這種無上道者，都可成佛。
