The Lotus Sutra Chapter IV Willing Acceptance

My foolish son has abandoned me

For over fifty years.

What should I do with the

Various goods in my treasure houses?

癡子捨我，五十餘年，庫藏諸物，當如之何？

他早晚都在想，那位愚癡的兒子離開我而去五十餘年了，如今我死期不遠，庫藏的大量财物該由誰來繼承呢？

At that time the impoverished son

Was going from town to town,

From one country to another,

Seeking food and clothing.

爾時窮子，求索衣食，從邑至邑、從國至國。

“恰好就在這時，那位兒子爲生活所迫，到處求衣乞食，穿州過縣，往來各國，
