正念冥想并不会涉及涅槃解脱,也不涉及“诸行无常,诸法无我,涅槃寂静”这个佛法的关键三法印。练习正念冥想练习者在很多时候,也只是追求世间的安乐,减轻负面感受和情绪带来的影响,以及提高心理上的主观幸福感(Subjective Wellbeing)和生活质量(Quality of Life)。所追求的是世间法,是相对的,寻求的是一种对治方式,存在明显的二元对立,并非佛法带来的出世间法,也不是涅槃寂静中苦的彻底止息或永脱轮回。因为不是每个人都有一样的灵性追求。当然,如果练习者在正念冥想的学习过程中,觉得有更高的灵修追求,或者对于“无常”、“苦”、“无我”有强烈的感触,希望彻底的出离,转入佛法正统的修行也是顺理成章。但是这应该是练习者自己的决定,而不是刻意的去引导去攀缘。两者不宜混淆。
一些学者和正念推广者也倡导中国需要自己的正念冥想。我们这么做到底是在追求什么呢如果是将基础理论内纳入更多的佛教或者儒释道内容的话,这个可是需要细心的研究对这些文化当中的宗教或灵性或者没法科学证伪的部分如何筛选。 如果是对练习方式的革新,比如说用八段锦或者太极代替正念瑜伽,或者用茶道香道来代替正念进食,甚至以书法代替正念行走,那么我们同样应该可以用科学客观的手段测量不同方式的效果,而不是搬出八段锦或太极拳历史悠久,或者茶道香道书法怡情养性等贩卖传统的说词。 其实,早在8年前瑞士那边的老外学者已经拿太极拳做过改善正念的随机干预组-控制组的对比实验了(Nedeljkovic et al., 2012),而且还发现只需要三个月每周两次的太极练习已经可以提升练习者的正念以及自我关怀程度。但在中国貌似这些带有中华传统的方式并没有得到太多的科学重视。在正念推广中(如一些坊间的正念太极课),只是停留在“结合中华传统文化养生”上。这可能就是对科学态度上的区别,也违背了正念冥想的循证基础。 本期另有姐妹/兄弟篇:佛教啊!请你放过「正念」吧! 「正念」啊!请你放过佛教吧!
